Schedule for the automatic activation of the nighttime charging window
Human vigil requested overnight
The challenge was not technical but organizational: safely managing a multi-vehicle charging session at a site without anyone to supervise it.
Technical Challenge
A logistics warehouse where overnight charging must be staggered without triggering the main meter, in a yard that is unstaffed at night.
Dogma shifted all responsibility for the operation from the staff to the software, creating an automated system that activates on its own at a preset time and self-regulates throughout the night.
Automation Using Authorization Time Slots
The Dogma Control System operates according to strict time-based logic, setting specific time windows during which power delivery to the charging stations is physically permitted.
Operational Dynamics
At the end of the shift, the driver plugs the charging cable into the vehicle. The DCS keeps the charging station in extended standby mode; at 11:00 p.m., when the time slot begins, the system automatically starts the charging sessions.
Dynamic Load Management (DLM)
During the nighttime window, the DCS’s DLM engine dynamically modulates the power supplied to each individual vehicle, distributing the energy and keeping the total power draw below the POD limit, thereby making the infrastructure fault-tolerant.
